Record your screen
without admin rights.
Locked-down work laptop? No “Run as administrator”? You don't need it. A browser tab can record your screen with zero installs.
Start recording — no install →Why this needs no admin password
Traditional recorders — OBS, Camtasia, ShareX — are desktop apps. To install them, Windows asks an administrator to approve an installer that writes to Program Files and sometimes loads a system driver. On a managed laptop, IT blocks exactly that.
DemoZoom is a web page. It uses screen-capture and video-encoding APIs that ship inside Chrome itself. There is nothing to install, so there is nothing for an admin to approve — you just grant the normal “share your screen” permission, the same prompt a video call uses.

FAQ
Can I record my screen without admin rights?
Yes. A browser-based recorder runs entirely inside a tab you already have open, so it needs no installation and no administrator password. DemoZoom records, edits and exports an MP4 using the browser's built-in WebCodecs API — nothing is installed on the machine.
Why does OBS or Camtasia need admin rights?
Desktop recorders install system-level drivers and write to Program Files, which requires an administrator to approve the installer. On a managed work laptop that's usually blocked by IT. A browser tool installs nothing, so there's nothing to approve.
Will IT see a flagged install or background process?
There's no install and no background process — the recorder is just a web page. When you close the tab it's gone. Recording also happens locally, so no video is uploaded to any server.
Does it work on a corporate Windows laptop?
If Chrome is installed (it is on most managed Windows machines), it works. Screen capture uses the standard browser permission prompt you approve yourself — no admin escalation needed.
