How to Record Screen Without Uploading to Cloud

Every major screen recorder — Loom, Veed, Tella — uploads your video to their servers. If your recording contains passwords, API keys, patient data, or NDA-protected content, that's a risk. Here's how to record locally.

Why Avoid Cloud Upload?

Security

Your recording may contain credentials, internal systems, or API keys. Any cloud upload is a potential breach.

GDPR / HIPAA

Recording medical or financial data in EU/healthcare contexts requires strict data handling. Cloud = compliance risk.

NDA recordings

Client demos under NDA should never touch a third-party server. Local processing = zero data exposure.

Speed

No upload = no waiting. Export immediately on your machine's GPU/CPU.
