Step by step

  1. Record on the iPhone. Control Center → the ◉ Screen Recording button (add it in Settings → Control Center if it's missing).
  2. Open demozoom.app — on the phone, or AirDrop the file to a computer first for faster exports.
  3. Import the video. Tap “Import a video to edit” and pick the recording from Photos/Files.
  4. Tap to zoom. Place a zoom point on each moment that matters — a button tap, a form field, a result. Auto-zoom can find them for you.
  5. Export. The MP4 renders on your device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Works for any footage, not just iPhone

Import mode takes any MP4/MOV/WebM your browser can play: Android recordings, OBS captures, Zoom/Meet exports, GoPro clips. Same editor, same zoom, same local-only processing — if it plays, you can polish it.

FAQ

How do I zoom in on an iPhone screen recording?

Record your iPhone screen with the built-in recorder (Control Center → Screen Recording), open demozoom.app, tap 'Import a video to edit', pick the recording, then tap where the camera should zoom. Export gives you a polished MP4 with smooth, cinematic zoom moves.

Do I need to install an app or upload the video?

Neither. DemoZoom runs in the browser and processes the video on your device — nothing is uploaded to a server. It works with the MP4/MOV files the iOS recorder produces.

Can I do this on the phone itself?

Yes — import and editing work in mobile browsers. Rendering a long video is heavy work for a phone, so for recordings over a few minutes the export is faster if you open demozoom.app on a computer and import the file there.

Does it work for Android screen recordings too?

Yes. Any MP4, MOV or WebM imports the same way — Android built-in recorders, OBS footage, GoPro clips, anything your browser can play.

Can I also make it vertical for Shorts or TikTok?

Yes — pick the 9:16 output (or the Shorts preset) before exporting. iPhone recordings are already vertical, and the zoom keeps UI details readable.
